the countdown has begun

In June 2024 a group of creative loving friends came together. We wanted to bring something new and exciting to Bribie Island, so we hatched an audacious plan. That plan was to open a creative learning space for different generations and culturally and ability diverse members of the community.

We realised there was a gap in this space, particularly for young people and adults not yet at retirement age. When we looked around it was obvious that the older demographic on the island was very well supported, but younger people - not so much. We decided to change that.

Enter BRIBIE CREATIVE COLLECTIVE ❤️

Now after 6 months of working tirelessly together we are a non-profit organisation ready to ignite creativity on Bribie. Right now we are offering classes in Drama, Visual Arts, Music and Writing and classes begin in February in line with the school term.

At present we have a temporary home, and are looking for our own place. A place for everyone to come together and learn, explore, discover and create. A place to grow and share with everyone.

I want to thank my amazing team without whom, none of this would have come to fruition. It would have just been a bunch of ideas scribbled on a piece of paper. Look what we’ve achieved in such a short time. It’s brilliant and I can’t wait to see what we’re going to achieve next - hopefully classes full of happy students igniting their own creativity.
